To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature I meet.
Science suggests that when you smile, whether you feel happy or not, your mood will be elevated. Just doing something positive - sharing a smile - might do enough to help someone else out, regardless of response. It also means a smile is contagious.
I can remember when I had my first miscarriage and I was in the hospital after my D & C and I was getting ready to be discharged to go home. There was a little girl prolly about 5 yrs old was in the waiting room and on our way out she was smiling at Mickey Mouse on my t - shirt. I remember wanting to cry cause I had just lost my baby boy but at the same time, she was so cute and so I talked to her a brief moment. It helped me for a little bit to take my mind off my own problem. I know to when I went back to work I tried to be the happy, smiling person I was before. It was tough somedays and still is but I know that a smiling person can make you feel better.

Just like that little girl that gave you a smile because of your t-shirt,...we can be God's helpers and give a smile of encouragement to people and leave it to Him to use it to lift someone's heart.
Thanks for the reminder. We all need to smile more often and even laugh,...because laughter is a good medicine.
When I was a little girl in Sunday School we learned a little song and it went like this:
You can smile-- when you can't say a word
You can smile-- when you cannot be heard
You can smile-- anytime anywhere
You can smile- you can smile- all the while!

I've heard that smiling improves your mood. Maybe that's why I'm happy most of the time!! :)
