Last night I was trying to find a picture I could use for my profile on Facebook. I was tired and then I saw this one. So different from the rest of them. This picture holds so much meaning. I just had to share it today.
Eagle , American Flag , New York , God's Hands , Time things happened and if you look real close you can see the rainbow after the storm.
I will never forget where I was that morning of Sept 11, 2001. I was staying with a dear friend of mine. My son Ridge was watching Blue's Clues. I turned the channel to try to catch the weather report and just as I did it happened. I remember holding Ridge tighter than I ever had before. Staying glued to the TV for hours. I like CNN but I think I watched it for 24 hrs straight. A different kind of fear that I had never felt before that day. I can remember taking Ridge out to play and being so fearful of the sky.
Today I remember with all those who lost or heroes that saved lives. Praying for everyone in America. May I leave you with this.
Here is how it works using six words , describe your life ( or something ) in a phrase.

Awesome post Caroline. The collage is a good one. I had to look hard but I did see the rainbow!
I take comfort knowing that God is in control!
That day 9 years ago will forever be in our minds. So very sad!
Caroline,
You said it all!
Remembering 9/11 with you and many others today.
I like your 6-word Saturday entry Caroline, but sad it comes with a day that was so sad for families and our country. I like your pictures too. I was just thinking this morning that there are kids alive now that have no clue what happened that day and the impact it had on all Americans. Definitely something we need to never forget and something to teach about to the "young ones".
betty
lovely!
we need to remember 911.
thanks for the kindness.
I remember where I was too.
I was at school and my aide came from the office where there was a tv on all day for weather, etc. She said she had just seen a plane go into one of the twin towers. She was in shock and all I could say was "Are you sure?"
Your picture is perfect to remember this sad day in our history.
Glad your little friend is better -I never heard of that illness before! You learn something new every day.
I remember I had just bought a car and we had to go back in the evening because they forgot to put on the inspection sticker on 9/11. And all day, I was angry about that stupid inspection sticker because it seemed so trivial compared to what was going on that day.
Thank you for joining 6WS.
