Veterans Day Service at School

I'm so behind I had planned on doing this post yesterday along with my Veterans Day post , but it didn't happen.

Anyway on Wednesday which was the children's last day of school for the week , they had a beautiful Veterans Day program at school. It started at 10:00 am and was only 15 minutes long but was so perfect. It's just another reason I love there school so much. They send home construction paper red or blue flags for you to write down veterans names or someone in your family that is in the service. On the day of the service the child wears them to school on there shirt or jacket.

The choir sang five songs and the whole school sang two or three. Thaniqua and Jennifer are also singing in the choir this yr. All the students gather out front by the flag poles and the raise the flags. The leader of the National Guard in Reno spoke a few min and a school board member spoke that was also a veteran. There were a few veterans there also for the service. I was excited cause Paul got to attend. He had a Dr appt early that morning and took the rest of the day off. It was the first time he was able to go.

I love that they do this and it helps those little children understand what the day is for. Here are a few pics .........

These pics are also for my Project 365 since I am a couple days behind.
