I have the sweetest kids. I know I talk about my kids so much but yesterday I seen something so special.
I was waiting on the kids to get out of school yesterday and my friend and her son were waiting to for her daughter. Her son had picked me some dandelions. The kids started to come out so we went on our way. The crossing guard was talking about the accident which had claimed the lives of two high school teenagers. I was still holding my dandelions. Jennifer picked some more on the way home. Then she asked me a question ????
Hey Mom can we go over to the High school parking lot on our way home and leave these dandelions w/all the other flowers ??
I of course said why sure , I think that's a great idea.
My heart smiled and I was proud that all of the children wanting to go to the make shift memorial to lay just the simple little dandelions. They were putting them in there parking spaces at school.
We found out that the one boy Keegan volunteered at the children's school to help out in P.E. class. Ridge remembered him. I like the fact that they wanted to do this on there own. Caring kids and remembering two boys that lost there lives. While the children put there flowers down there , Jennifer said Mommy I'm sad & the tears fell. Thaniqua wanted to say a short prayer so we did.
I was proud of them wanting to do this on there own. Good kids sure made me SMILE.
Last evening we seen on the news they were having a candlelit service so the kids asked to go so we did.
Below is a couple pics I took.
Kids holding there flowers all three of them are there Ridge is sorta standing right in line w/Thaniqua.
If you look close at the bottom of pic you can see there Dandelions.

So sad the loss and so precious of your children at the same time. You have a beautiful family, praying for the families who loss their children my heart hurts for them.
That is so sweet....it's hard to find kids these days with caring hearts for others......you're doing a great job!
what a sweet gesture for your children, Caroline to want to reach out like this in the grief of losing these two teens! That does speak so much for compassion and kindness you are teaching them!
betty
Such a lovely thing for your kids to want to do... and dandelions are such loving/hopeful flowers - my heart goes out to the families of those who've passed away... what a tragedy xoxo
That was so sweet. Your children have the best heart.
