Remembering Jakin ~ Laughter

Today I'm joining my friend Mattie has she remembers her son Jakin. Today would have been his dute date but God took him home to Heaven. Jakin's name means " Laughter ". So today we thinking of anything funny or brings a Smile to your face.


I remember after my first loss a miscarriage Feb 10, 2006 ~ my oldest Ridge would be turning six in 18 days. I remember asking Ridge what he wanted on his birthday cake. He told me he wanted a Power Ranger but half of the cake could have flowers. I asked why ??? That doesn't go together. He said I want to share with you Mommy so you can be happy.
I then remembered something my own Father told me right before he passed away. He died one week before my birthday. He said you have fun and have the biggest party. Lots of smiles !!! For his service after he passed we called it the Celebration of Life , I remember people laughing about things my Dad had done , jokes he told and most of all the Smile he always had on his face.
