30 years ago today , I lost my boyfriend in a auto accident. We had been to a party and he was almost home. I will never forget that day. Yes there was drinking and I'm not proud of that but God decided to take him home.

Even though so much has changed , I will never forget the last time I saw you. If only I had known it was my last time to hug you , kiss you or just some of the silly things we did. I think of all the memories we made and you still were the only guy to buy me purple roses. I wish I could go to your grave today but I can't. I'm too far away. I probably will call your parents today. We still talk once in a while. Just know that even though your in Heaven I still miss you and think of that terrible day. You will always be someone very special to me.

Lots of Hugs to my very special friend forever.

how beautiful with the purple roses. How sad; I'm sure it was so devastating at the time and I know his parents still miss him and grieve his loss. We all do "stupid" things when we are young and why God chooses to protect one and call another one home, I never know. Down the line, though, you have a story to share with your kids about the dangers of drinking and driving because unfortunately that still goes on these days :(

sorry for your loss and his family's loss

What a tragedy! I'm so sorry you lost your boyfriend this way. That is so sweet of you to call his parents - I know they appreciate it very much. I love purple roses, too. Glad he gave you some to remember him by. xoxo
