Our Sunday Afternoon and Supper

Today I spent the afternoon with Ridge finishing up his Science Fair Project.

It is " How to make an egg float ? " It really was a easy one but at the end just getting it all put together and ready to go. Projects are due tomorrow and the Science Fair is Wednesday night.

So best of luck Ridge !!!!!

Also while I was working with Ridge , Dad was helping Jennifer do a small book report for Kindergarten. She had a short book called The Mitten. She had to try and read it , which Dad said she did well. She only missed two words. They had to write the title and author. One short sentence about the book. Also draw a picture about what she read. I know that this is the last half of Kindergarten but it seems like they really do so much more nowadays. Jennifer is pretty bright and has learned so much from Dora and others I just hope some children don't get pushed for they are only 5 and 6. Anyway she did a good job.

So since I was busy I decided to try a new recipe today !!!!

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

1 pound ground chuck
10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) package sharp Cheddar, grated
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs, toasted
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustar...d
1 (3-ounce) can French fried onions Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck and next 8 ingredients, mixing well.
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard. Stir 1/4 cup ketchup mixture into meat mixture, reserving remaining ketchup mixture.
Press meat mixture into a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, or shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a broiler pan. Spread remaining ketchup mixture over loaf. Bake 40 minutes. Top with French fried onions; bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.

It turned out really good and I thought I would share it to.

God Bless
Caroline

The meatloaf sounds pretty good.
I was so happy when my children were done with science projects.
Hope he does well. A book report in kindergarten, that seems really early!
