Yesterday was one of those Mother/Son moments I will treasure for quite a while.
Ridge & Mom got to spend about 3 hrs together. It doesn't happen to often seems like I'm always tied up w/ my girls. Don't get me wrong I love them but Ridge being older gets the back burner. Well yesterday I needed to return a pair of shoes I had got Ridge earlier in the week. It was really nice out so I told Paul I just wanted to take the walking path. I thought I better get back to my walking since when the kids go to school I usually get 4 miles in a day. Well Ridge decided he would go with me. I was happy it was going to give us sometime to chat. We had a good time lots of laughs & some serious chats. I love that boy so much.
Today was also the first back to school for the kids since Spring Break has been going on. This will be Ridge's last quarter as a grade school student. WOW !!!!!! I'm excited for this step in about 8 wks. Fifth grade graduation & then Middle school. Funny thing about yesterday Ridge was pretty happy just to have Mom to himself. He said sometimes the oldest kid is ok but sometimes I miss having my Mom around like when he was younger. So this morning as we walked to school Ridge leaned over gave me a kiss on the cheek see ya at three this afternoon. I'm so proud of the person he has become & still growing. Glad for our afternoon walk.
So everyone is at school & I'm leaving in a hr or so .......... can't wait to hear all those stories from days at school.

That is so very special, I totally know what you mean my 14 year old boy seems closer to his dad these days. I so cherish when we have a special time to connect. I am doing a link-up tomorrow of moms that have lost babies/children. I hope you will join us. Also I would love if you link up stitches of love as well!
So glad you got to spend that special time with Ridge. Your children are all very sweet and loving.
