Lots of Walking

I might have said this before but I love walking. It is so good for you too. My Mom used to do a lot of walking so I always say I got it from her. Well we live exactly one mile from our children's school. So when the weather is great I walk to go pick them up. I really like it because by the time we get home they are ready to do there homework without any issues. Well they have been doing some construction just a few houses up from ours and the road has been closed. Paul has been workin a lot of extra hrs so he wanted to go in early. He usually takes them in the morning on his way to work. I told him I would just walk them in the morning so he could come home sooner in the evening. So it meant walking a total of 4 miles a day for me. Yay !!!!

So last week I walked a total of 24 miles counting some of the extra steps I took during the week. I was so proud of myself. Jennifer told me her P.E. Teacher told her I bet your body is so Happy with all of you. The kids only got 10 miles in but that is still good. All little Carly got was some wonderful rides in the stroller and getting to see the birds.

So ready to do it again this week !!!!

What a great workout! I've wanted to take the kids to school on bikes (we're about 3 miles from the school), but they're not quite riding yet...maybe by the time school starts in fall :-)

That is so awesome, Caroline! I wish we lived close enough to walk to school. Waiting in that car line to pick them up is no fun at all! Right now here in TX, it feels like a chore just to walk from the car into the store, because it's so HOT. LOL!

That is great!! Walking and running are so good for you! Have you tried I used to log in my workouts there when I went running. I loved it!
