D.A.R.E. Classes

Yesterday Ridge brought a paper home about D.A.R.E.classes the school and the local sheriff's office is holding for all the 5th graders.
I'm so glad to see this. I know Ridge already knows about what is not right but going over a lot of different things with them is Awesome I feel. This is a few of the things he will complete while doing this.

Complete a workbook
Have good attendance
Keep body free of drugs
Write a D.A.R.E. Report
Make a Pledge Statement & to make wise decisons about getting in to trouble , alcohol , tobacco and other drugs.

As a parent we must do our part in answering any questions he might have or going over his workbook.

Then in January he will graduate from the class and get possible awards.

It is so good to take the time to do this. Just last nite at our Apt complex a seven yr old was bragging about smoking. Ridge was like Mom that is so wrong. The sad part is his parents don't care. There is so much out there and so much that kids already know at a young age. I pray daily for my three in school and that others won't get involved in things like that. I'm so Happy for such a good school that cares for all the children & have great programs like this.
