The book reading is for In Faithfulness, He Afflicted Me by Lynnette Kraft.
In this chapter Lynnette shared about Kyle's business venture & how it didn't quite work out as planned. How many things in life don't go as planned ? I can say myself I have had lots of ups & downs in life, lots of things haven't gone as planned but somehow good or bad, that God has carried me through. I know that Paul my hubby & I have done our share of praying when things are good or bad and just trust God. Just recently where Paul works has been laying off. Last week they cut another 30 people. Thank God our prayers were answered once again, he wasn't one that was laid-off. We both said we didn't want to see anymore people without work. That was one of the big reasons we moved from Ohio to Nevada. Work was slow back there & with lots of prayers Paul found a good job here. We both are praying that things get back on track soon.
Are there things in your life you imagined different ?
Yes there are things I imagined different, I never thought I would be living in Nevada. I'm a small town girl & Carson City is a big change for me.
Also after being told by Doctors since I was a teenager that I would never have a child is sometimes so hard to believe. I love all my children so much & being a Mom is the greatest part of my life.

That has to be tough living in a bigger city in the middle of a desert pretty much!! I'm very much small town.
That's amazing that you have many children after being told you might not have any. Wow! I also hope that your hub Paul has steady work, this economy right now is just to scary!
Thanks Caroline! I loved reading Lynnette's book. I haven't linked up with this particular meme, but I might have to check it out.
I too have had what I thought were things that didn't quite work out the way I had planned, but then realized that they actually did! Who knew what the plan was but God? Since going through the loss of our precious daughter Bayli, I've learned that there's nothing in life that we can make it through with God's help! You're so sweet! Thanks for all your kind comments.
I feel the same as Kelci. Many times, I thought things were falling apart and the worst thing in the world had happened, only to find, later, looking back, it was the best thing that could have possibly happened. God truly does work in mysterious (and wonderful) ways.
By the way, I'm south of you, in Vegas.
