I'm linking up with Lynnette's Blog on How Christmas looks in your Home?
Well it's sorta the same as when we lived in Ohio when I was growing up. I try to keep things the same as when I was a little girl. I always loved Christmas so much as a child because it was such a Big Family Affair.
We usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving. The first bit of decor is the Nativity Scene. That is the reason for the season and my Mom and Dad always got it out first.
Next the Christmas Tree which had to be fake because I'm allergic to pine. I feel safer then having a real tree since all the water and extra care they need. I just told my husband Paul the other day I'm not sure I would want a real tree here in Nevada since it is sooooooooooo DRY here.
On Christmas Eve we go to church and I enjoy that for alot of reasons. One it is almost Jesus's Birthday. Since my Dad has passed away and I have 2 angels in Heaven I feel so close to them all and others that are no longer here on earth. I just always feel so happy in the Lord's House.
On Christmas Day , I make Homemade Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast. So yummy !!!!!
Then we read the Christmas Story out of the Bible. Paul and I take turns reading a few verses at a time. Now that Ridge and Marie are getting older we let them read a verse or two. That's the way my parents did Christmas with me. I don't want my children to forget the real reason for Christmas.
Then we open presents one person at a time so everyone can enjoy watching what each other got. It might take a little longer but it's so much fun. Then kids play and we just have alot of fun watching football and a good meal together at about 2pm or so.
Here are some of my favorite Decorations. My sister made me the snowman out of a mason jar last Christmas. So cute and I love the Cleveland Indians.
I love my snowman I crosstitched
This is so cute my son Ridge wanted to put on one of his Army men to remember them that can't be home with Family. What a great idea !!!
I also bake a cake in the shape of a Star for Jesus's Birthday and we sing Happy Birthday.
Well that's Christmas at The Croley Home.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!!!!!!!!!
This hectic thing we call life.

Sounds like a wonderful plan for a wonderful Christmas.
I thought that was so cute that your son wanted to put a soldier on the tree to remind people of the soldiers that can't come home for Christmas!
We do need to think of the servicemen and their families and to pray for them all at Christmas time and always.
Thanks!

I'll tell ya, your Ridge is such a sweetie!! :)
Mmmmm homemade cinnamon rolls! Can you come to my house??
That's interesting you're allergic to pine. Yeah, I'd be afraid in Nevada the tree would burst into flames! lol
Sounds like Christmas is wonderful at your house! I think I'm going to make cinnamon rolls this year too. I always make some sort of sweet bread.
Have a joyful Christmas season friend.
Worshipping Jesus with you~
Love,
Lynnette
