Change and Couple Blog Questions .......

Change is me .........I'm prolly the worst in the world. At least I think. Since I have been a stay at home Mom , I'm always changing something. There's only a couple different ways I can have our living room but I still find a way to move things around, LOL. My son Ridge always says did we get a different house again. I love him and I know he is only kidding Mom.

Well last night I was looking through some different layouts for our blog. I seen a lot of ones I liked but trying to narrow it down. Well I finally decided on one and blogger has a new design thing. Well here I got everything messed up and my blog looked terrible. Well I'm not the best on stuff like this so I have a couple questions ??? If anyone could help me out I would be really happy !!!

First one is I had a scrolling thing for blog buttons and now I can't get it to work on this one. I didn't do anything different at least I thought. So I'm not sure what happened ????

Second one is does anyone know how to make a blog button. I would like to make a different one but not sure how to do it ???? If anyone knows and would like to give me a little walk through I would be so happy.

I liked my other blog background but it just wasn't me. Since we moved to Nevada you don't see much green grass and I tell Paul all the time I miss the color green. It also had families are forever and I liked that.

So for now I guess it looks ok , I had to take some stuff of but tomorrow gonna try to fix it back. I woke up with a terrible headache this morning prolly cause I couldn't get things worked out before I went to bed.

So if anyone could give me some advice , It would really make my day.

Last Day

Well another school year done !!!



It was a fast one and this week was busy !!! Which also today wasn't a full day. The kids got out at 12:30pm. I wasn't sure how it would go today being that maybe the kids won't be able to attend there next year. I prayed about it this morning with the kids and whatever happens we will be fine. I had a meeting yesterday with the principal and well I got the same answer NO. There teachers are going to put there input in later today and maybe I will hear something soon. They also told me to try again just before school starts on July 19th. So I will give it one more shot.

While I was waiting on the kids to get out , I was talking with a friend of mine. Our daughter's are in the second grade together. So she was saying how we'll get together and do some things before school starts. I had my jacket on today cause it was only 65 out and the wind was blowing hard. Here guess what was on my jacket a Ladybug !!!! Wow !! She said it's a sign that things are gonna work out w/ the whole school issue. I guess we will just have to wait and see. It was sorta neat !!

Well Jennifer got a outstanding student award and gets to get a free kids meal at a local sub place here in town. Marie came out and we were talking , waiting on Ridge I knew he would take forever today. He doesn't like to say Goodbye. While we were waiting a teacher we are good friends with came out to tell us goodbye and that she was gonna pray all things go well no matter what the outcome. Then she said just joking I was gonna give Ridge a hug but he was going down the hall with 3 or 4 girls talking to him. We both laughed , I told her I sorta thought that might be his hold up. Well he finally made it and off we went to all walk home together.

One thing that was really neat was Ridge's teacher had the kids make a scrapbook of the whole year w/ pictures and special things they done as a class. Also at the begining of the school year a man they called Grandpa Phil passed away. He used to come in and help them with any subject they needed. So she had a page with a picture of him helping the class. So very sweet and special. I told Ridge that's great cause you will always have that to keep.

Also the kids all made stuff for Father's Day. I can't wait to share them on here. Some really great ideas.

Well that was our day and YAY , School is out !!! Yay 4 Summer !!

End of School Awards

Wow this has been a busy week !! It sure has gone by fast !!

Well Tuesday was awards day for all students. So on Tuesday morning Jennifer ,Carly and I went to see Ridge and Marie get awards.

First was Ridge's class. Almost every child in his class got some type of award. Well Ridge is always at the end because his last name starts with a W. The last four students got some extra awards. My boy was one of them. He received an award for perfect attendance , all 3's and 4's which meaning a 3 is a A and a 4 is a A+. He also was recognized for going above and beyond in class. Also he has been a student tutor to help others students in his class or other classrooms. I was very proud of him. I also give a lot of credit to his teacher Mrs Lori Browning who teaches well and gives them lots to work for.

One of my greatest things was this yr when Ridge decided to tryout for the talent show. To finally rise above one of his biggest fears. Also was when the girl in his class was going to be losing her home , the class together raised some money to give to her family and it was Ridge's idea.

Marie received perfect attendance award. She also had held the student spotlight award at school again earlier this yr. She has received the student spotlight award the past 3 yrs. YAY MARIE !!!



Jennifer was picked for student spotlight earlier this spring !! So YAY again for Jennifer !!!!
Also Jennifer is reading at lower 2nd grade level. So our reading 30 minutes everyday really does pay off.

Well I know I'm every proud of all of them and even if there had been no awards , I'm just so glad that God has blessed me with getting the chance to be there Mommy !!

Just some Thoughts .....

It's been a emotional week , Lots of happy tears and some sad.

I seen this image online last night when I was just messing around doing some thinking .......... It was just sorta fitting to where my mind was.



The last couple days have been a lot. Jennifer graduating from Kindergarten. Ridge getting many special awards yesterday. Which will be in a upcoming post. Not to leave Marie out but lots of good things have been said about our children. So I have been doing a lot of thinking ...... wondering ......... what things would have been like if I had my babies here instead of in Heaven.

A lot of these people here don't know me , they don't know I lost two children. I had comments when Jennifer graduated that Wow , you have a while before you do this again. I thought to myself it shouldn't have really been like this , should it ??? I sometimes sit and wonder from time to time thinking Wow I would really have my hands full, but I would have loved it. I don't dwell on there losses but from time to time it's right there. Grief looking at me.

Then I look at Carly and how fast she has done some new things lately and I think about how great our God is. I never want to forget my babies , not that we have but it's like the image says. A lot of times when I'm out walking or doing something that just makes me think of them. It's sad sometimes a holiday time or the anniversary date but then I think of how strong I have become.

I think of so much from time to time the good and the bad things I have walked through and I think of how strong it has made me. It makes me think of that verse in the Bible

Philippians 4:13 (New International Version)
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Memories are great and I'm so glad we have them no matter what they are. I know even though this week is a lot of emotion. We have made some great memories this week and I can't wait to see what God has in store for us next. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and children and all my wonderful friends in my life. God is so Good.

Jennifer's Big Day

Yesterday , was a very special day for a special girl named Jennifer !!!

It was her Kindergarten graduation.

I caught this little girl making faces before we left. She loves making funny faces.



These pictures we taken at Graduation. The class ate lunch at school teaching them how to get there tray of food , where to throw things away at and learning how a full day works. They had corn dogs for the main course which seems to be Jennifer's favorite thing right now.

Jennifer , I just couldn't get a BIG smile. I'm so proud of her and so is everyone else.






The class sang a few different songs for there parents.
Twinkle, Twinkle , Little Star. They also sang it in Spanish which was super neat !!

I'm a little teapot and a few others. It was so great.

Then they were called one by one and Carly clapped for everyone. It was so neat. Of course Mommy cried a few happy tears. It has been neat to see how all of these children have grew.

They also got a goodie bag with a pencil , necklace , bubbles and a piece of candy that all were marked Class of 2010.

All in all it was a great time , plus after they were finished with graduation they got to meet there teacher for the upcoming school year. As I had posted we are trying to see if our kids can still attend there. The teachers of our children are going to try to talk to the right people to let them stay. This school has a lot of good programs and lots to offer so we are going to give it one more shot. It can't hurt.

Well I'm off and running Ridge is getting some awards today so we are attending that.
