Thoughts .........

Today I ran across this while I was looking for something else online. I read it a couple times and it really made me stop and think about me. Wow , looking back at some things I have went through and I wonder how did I do it. I'm a christian and I know I'm never alone even when I think I am. God has seen me through a lot some good and some bad but I'm still me and life is good. I'm so glad that I know God and I can see how with his help things work out even through some of the trying times.

God has blessed me with so much in this life , Family , Friends and You.

So I thought I would share this with you.

Home Safe

Well Paul's flight came in just a little early by 15 minutes. So he got here safe and sound. It was time for me to go get the kids at school when he got in so I told him he could go home and wait for us. He told me if he got close he would text or call me if he had time to pick us up. Wasn't sure how the traffic would be getting out of Reno.

Well just as I got all the kids and was ready to turn around the other way on the sidewalk Ridge yelled Hey Mom there's Dad. I was talking with a couple people and had checked my phone. Here he couldn't wait to come and see us. Carly was asleep so I had to wake her to put her in the van. She was a little unsure of everything. Well we got home and unloaded the van and wouldn't you know it there Carly was tagging around Dad. He helped the kids with there homework and I had made a meatloaf for supper so all I had to do was put it in the oven.

We had a good supper and just enjoyed all being together again. Paul took the next 2 days off to rest up and do some stuff around here. It will be nice having him home a couple days maybe I can get a couple closets cleaned out , LOL

He had a good visit with Jessica and Justin and we are glad he is back home.

Momentous Monday

Today I'm joining in on a new blog hop that I found from A Moment Cherished. Just click on the button if you would like to join in and link up.


It was this past Thursday , my husband had left early morning at 5am to catch his flight in Reno. The children except for Carly wanted to get up to tell him Goodbye. I woke them at 4:45am and there sleepy heads sat on the couch and then they told Dad goodbye. It was shortly after he had left , my Jennifer was talking to the kids in the living room. It was cute since she is younger than them , they are 8 and 10 yrs old. She was telling them that wow Mom really has a lot to do now since Dad is gone. We are going to have to be really good for her. She sounded like she was about 16 or so and it sounded funny coming from a little 6 yr old. Then Jennifer came to me while I was getting breakfast and told me , Mom if you get scared and you need someone to talk to you can talk to me. Then she said if I'm at school you know you can talk to God anytime. What a little blessing !!! My little helper always.

So as I type we are waiting for his flight home today and praying for a safe one.

Our Chilly but Fun Weekend

Well the weekend has come and gone. For the most part it went fast. Hard to believe tomorrow is Monday. The kids are excited and well so am I. Paul will be home from his little trip back to Ohio.

Friday we got pizza and well the rest of the weekend was pretty much okay except for it being cold and windy. We even had a little snow Saturday nite and woke up this morning w/ a dusting. It's sorta depressing but we still had a good time. The kids were extra full of energy today for some reason. I know prolly cause Mom didn't let them go outside. It was so windy out and it made it feel colder than it was. Ridge and Jennifer already have a cough I just didn't want it to get worse.

I talked to my Mom yesterday and I know Paul went to visit her. She was so very happy for that. He looked around to about the snake problem but couldn't see a place they could get in. She has stuff outside to kill them but she hasn't seen anymore either. She has another place coming this week to help her get a idea where the problem might me.

We did have a great time this weekend. We got somethings done early since it was cold and messy out this weekend. Most of all we had a good time together. Dad should be here by the time everyone gets out of school , so I know they all will be looking forward to the end of the school day tomorrow. We talked to him on the phone and you could tell tonite they were excited.

So until tomorrow ..........

We are praying for a safe trip.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday , Happy Day !!!!!

Well this week went fast and I'm sure the weekend will go fast to. My hubby made it to Ohio fine. He had a slight delay in Las Vegas but other than that it went great. He is having a good visit with his children. He misses us and the of course we miss him but he will be back Monday evening. Carly is doing a lot of looking for him but doesn't say much.

I have a lot of things I wanta get done this weekend. Our weather isn't supposed to be that great either. Lots of wind today and about 63 degrees. Then Saturday and Sunday rain and possible SNOW !!!! Yucky. I have some crosstitch to get caught up on and do some extra cleaning while Dad is gone.

Well tonight we are getting pizza for supper. Yummy !!!!! The kiddos will be happy and they get to stay up late too.
