Someone say BBQ sauce ? ? ? ?

Well at our house it is a hit & has been going on for about two months now.

Take a guess has to who it is ? ? ? ?

It's Carly , yes Carly is hooked on it & wants to eat it with everything.

I know after having children they all go through stages but this is really different. I like BBQ sauce & so does Ridge. Paul doesn't care for it but that's okay Carly is making up for the rest of the gang. My Mom always liked it so I tell Grandma I think she def is from our side of the family. Lol

So no matter what I fix Little Miss Carly has her side of BBQ sauce & yes she will eat it alone too any that is left on her plate. Breakfast , Lunch & Dinner can't eat w/out it.

Can't wait to see how long this lasts but I also love that she likes it & so far is not to picky of a eater.

One Month ~ Missing You & Growing Up

Changes Never

I have been so so busy again but this morning after the children were off to school I took a walk through the park. It was beautiful the sun shining through the trees.

So much on my mind lately , so much I wish I could change.

I know one thing I'm sooooooooooooooo very blessed & I wouldn't trade a moment of all the heartaches or the joys.

I found this quote today & it really made me stop and think. Sometimes I think things are so bad just a terrible day then , something good happens. I know sometimes it may not be right away but there it is.

The past few weeks have been stressful another loss for us. Another child I didn't get to meet , to hold but I love you baby Rosebud. I know that it is another piece of me gone but I know God has a plan for everything.

So even though I get down & blue I still get up everyday and Smile cause it's a new day a fresh start to whatever God has planned. So very blessed through it all.

A Diet ???????

Say what ????????

I decided I was going to try to stick real hard to a diet. I really wanted to lose some weight. I was so bad this holiday season. Anyway I was gonna go with Slim Fast cause a few years ago more like 15 yrs I lost a pile of weight. Right around 40 lbs I was really happy.

Well that lasted a week I decided to change & just eat what I ate when they thought I had GD when I carried Carly. It worked well because I only gained 5 lbs carrying her. So what I'm going is eating a good breakfast a couple eggs nothing HUGE. A mid morning snack , A salad for lunch. Carly & I usually have a salad & I'm happy she always eats stuff like that so well. Then a salad & lite supper. I usually have a little afternoon snack maybe a few crackers. Then a evening little snack like a package of 100 cal cookies or such. So far so good with sticking with it.

I also walk 5 miles everyday & have been drinking right around 96 oz of water everyday. Sometimes more when I really push myself.

So as of two weeks I have lost 8 lbs. I'm happy & gonna keep on workin at it.

Second Quarter Awards

Last Wednesday the school children got there awards from second quarter. It was fun to see them honored for there hard work , being kind to others & attendance.
They waited til the break was over but it was well worth it.

Well the normal stress of life , but then a friend well was supposed to be my friend on Facebook. This past week on Wednesday I found out all the things she told everyone which was a lot of other angel BLM's I'm friends with was all lies. She has no children in Heaven. Her whole life was a BIG FAT LIE !!! It really bothers me that someone would cook up a lot of things that wasn't true. Why would anyone want to pretend that they had children in Heaven. I just met this person online but I had asked for people to pray & just upsets me.

Well I'm not going to go on about it. Just don't understand why people would make up a lie like that. I know there has been others & this won't be the last. Just sad .........

I made this yesterday for Tripp , I hope it brings some comfort to her.

Tripp passed away on Saturday Jan 14 , 2012. My heart was broken , I knew Tripp is in no pain but it's hard to let a child go. I'm praying for this family so much. His mother Courtney wrote a beautiful post , you can click on the button to read it.

Our Very Own Artist

Last Tuesday when I went to school to pick up the children , Thaniqua came running out & told me her teacher needed to talk to me. Well she wasn't in trouble.

Here her teacher told me Thaniqua's picture was going to be displayed at Artsy Fartsy Gallery on this coming Saturday. They were having reception for the children that were picked. There were five in her class & those were the only children from the whole school too. I was so proud and so excited for her. She did the painting before Christmas break. I had never seen it so I was really excited.

So today at 11am we went to Artsy Fartsy Art Gallery.

Here is Thaniqua's painting.

They could sell them if they wanted to but Thaniqua didn't want to. She wanted to keep her first painting. I told her that was fine.

So here is our very own Thaniqua & her first start as a artist at 9 yrs old.

We also heard today that the gallery likes a lot of Thaniqua's work. So that's a HUGE YAY !!!!!!!!

I found this last night on Facebook. I was like Wow so fitting to parts of my life.
Really anyone's life there are all times we just wonder & hurt.

I love to write & so much has been going on lately gonna try to catch up this weekend. Even though I'm broken w/ this latest loss , I'm still trusting God & knowing he will carry me like always before. I'm thankful so thankful for God and all he has blessed me with.

Tonight as I'm almost ready for bed , I have a favor to ask. Please keep this little boy Tripp & his wonderful Mommy Courtney in your prayers. Tripp is getting ready to meet Jesus soon. It's been a journey that has been hard for him. Please pray for Peace for Tripp & his family. Tripp is the same age as my Carly & knowing it would be so hard to have to let a child go at any age.

A Smiley Day

Just a quick post before bed.

The kids had a Awesome day at school. Things went well back in the swing of things. They really love it so I was not worried. Everyone had homework but not a lot just enough to get things going again.

I thought I would add this smile , I was really smiling earlier today.

I was making Carly's lunch & I told her I was almost done. She wanted to eat. We keep a baby gate in our hallway when it is just Carly & I. If she had full run of the house she would be into everything , Lol.

Anyway I told lunch is ready next thing I know she is yelling for all the kids to come eat lunch. I said Carly remember the kids went to school. She had a funny look on her face. Silly girl I love her. She was def happy to see them when they got home.

I also started a diet today after all the Holiday food & today went rather well. I'm excited to be getting back walking a lot again. We have had some beautiful weather lately too. I will take the 50 degree temps anytime in Jan.

Well I'm outta here 5:30am comes early !! Goodnight all.

Busy Day & Some Fun

Today was busy , making sure the children's things were already for the Big Day of school tomorrow.
The first day back after break is always so much fun , getting back in the swing of things. Kids excited to meet up with old friends plus maybe meet some new ones. It's also a new year to start off right.

So yes everything is all set to go ~ Backpacks packed & clothes picked out !!!

We were laying on the floor just laughing. Carly brings such joy to this family. I don't know what I would do without this smile some days.

I love all my children so much but so thankful that I still have a little over two years left with her at home before she goes off to school. I'm also thankful for having my phone close by I took this picture while laying on the floor beside her.

Awesome !!!!! Love you Carly & gonna miss the Big Kids tomorrow , but have fun.

Emotions Gotta Love Them.

Today was a emotional day , just seemed like everything I did ended up with some tears. I think those days are good sometimes. My Mom always used to tell me if you feel like you have to cry it's ok. So I really don't feel bad , I actually feel better.

Wow I can't believe break time is almost over & school starts back Monday. I'm happy but sad. I love my kids being home but I know it is time for everyone to get back to the " Normal ". They all miss there friends & I know Carly will miss them but I miss our time together while the whole bunch is at school. So backpacks are ready & clothes all set. Still Wow !!!! I'm gonna miss them but I know we will have all those stories of there days at school.

Well today our weather was just so Awesome. It was warm 65 degrees , wow is this really January. The past three days it has been nice enough to go to the park. Let's just say Carly has been very happy !!!!! Next week is in the low 50's I will take that. I talked to my brother today & they had snow back home so I will def take this nice weather.

Well have a busy morning tomorrow so I'm off to bed. Nite all .........

December 28 , 2011

I have a little something special with the number 28. It seems like I can have good or bad things on that number.

It wasn't a special day but Thaniqua & I had run to Walmart to get groceries. We were almost done & I decided I need to go to the bathroom. No big deal but just so I don't go into to much info , I haven't had a period for over a year. I'm getting older and so I just thought maybe it was my body quitting on it's own. My Dr told me as long as I felt fine I should be ok. I don't have my yearly til Spring.

Well I was bleeding but not a lot. So we finished shopping came home & it only got worse. I called my Mom even though she was over 2000 miles away I wanted to ask her what she thought.

That evening it was worse so I went to be checked out. I found out something I didn't want to hear. I lost a child another baby. I wondered how this could happen no period but somehow it had. I had my first child Ridge & had no signs of being pregnant. A lot of people still find it hard to believe but it happened. Anyway I decided I was in shock to much & I didn't feel like writing about it until now.

A week ago we said Goodbye to our little Rosebud. They say I was only 8 wks or so & I miscarried. I'm better but mentally I'm still trying to cope w / another loss. It hurts , It is raw & still so hard to believe. We told the children & they are doing ok.

I still wonder Why ????

Wish I could have stopped it but God knows those answers so I have to trust him. It's hard this life at times so unfair but then again there will be a day we will all be together as a family.

My cousin emailed me this picture from Florida the same day this happened. I think it didn't just happen maybe she knew I needed something peaceful to look at. She knows how much I love things like this.

My Late Recap of 2011

This is a recap of a few of the things that happened over the past year 2011.

Some really happy , some really sad but together with God we always came out on top.

The start of the year was quite on a sad note. I miscarried a son at 12 wks on Jan 6 , 2011. It was very hard and we miss our Sweet pea very day. We also know that we will see him again when that wonderful day comes & we all go to Heaven to live forever.

Thaniqua's Science Fair project won 1st place. So exciting & what a honor as she won at the Science fair at the college in town then went on to state & placed third.

Yay Thaniqua !!!!!!!!

We spent lots of time working in the school garden. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Ridge , our wonderful , awesome & amazing son that played the part of a girl in the school play.

My first post of the New Year. I have been busy and still can't believe it is 2012. I'm glad for fresh starts , lots of new things to look forward too.

I'm hoping that the New Year is going good for everyone so far.

Open to me is new ways or things. I'm a pretty open person about anything. I didn't used to be.

I'm proud to say that I feel I have a Open relationship with my children. Even though they are young I want them to feel like there is nothing that we can't talk about or deal with. Just yesterday Jennifer came to me w / a off the wall question & we both handled it well.

I also like the fact that my children are Open about being a Christian. This world is tough & it makes me happy to see them not be afraid to share w/ others there feelings on this.

Open can have so many meanings & I want to Open the new year 2012 w/ so many good things plus knowing there will be sad times with Open arms.

I lost a friend from back home the day before Christmas. She was a wonderful lady just a few years older than me. She loved life and was just a fun person to be around. I'm sad that she is gone but I know that I will see her again one day. I also can't be there at her service to say goodbye but this was in the morning paper w/ her obituary per her request. I thought I would share it.

Another Christmas in the books. We had a good day , Carly was more excited this year. She kept telling me for the past two weeks that Jennifer & her were on the nice list. I was happy everyone was healthy. There has been so much sickness going around. Santa came & the kids were happy.

Remembering Caden

This morning as I looked at the newspaper I read this , my heart is sad. A little boy that attended my children's school lost his life last Friday. The kids only knew of him since he was in Kindergarten. I remember when I got the chance to take him out to the garden to check on some plants & give them water. He had a smile that could light up a room. He battled cancer for 3 years & such a strong little boy. I'm sad & in tears as I type this but I know that one precious day we will see him again.

Last Friday ~ Dec 16th

Last Friday was Ridge's lunch bunch day. I had lunch w/ him & his best friend. I got a couple subs from Subway & took for lunch. The boys enjoyed it , so did I. I keep thinking next year Ridge will be in Middle school , Wow so hard to believe.

The girls had went Christmas Caroling. The choir went a few places in town. So they had pizza when they got back at 1pm. They really enjoyed going.

I stayed after lunch because Jennifer's class was having a party. All the kids were having one but I felt like after Jennifer's week at school & the backpack deal I would go to hers. They had cookies to decorate. That was interesting & sorta messy. The kids did do a great job of keeping the frosting off the floor.

Wow , I finally made it back to my blog. I have missed you so much.

I enjoy writing and all but last week when I said I would be busy I had no idea it would be that busy. Along w/ all the school things then the whole backpack deal I just got so wrapped up.

Which is another thing wrapped up .......... I'm usually done wrapping presents but not this year. I'm not even done shopping. The down side today is the first day of the children's three week break. So while I'm trying to catch up on here I will be shopping & wrapping while the kids are not looking , Lol

This morning I took this picture of the sky. Pretty Awesome , the sun was just coming up. So it is also my Project 365 - Day 353 even though I'm so far behind.

Our Anniversary & Verdict on School Boys

Five years ago today I married a really Awesome guy. We have had our share of ups & downs but we have always seen it though TOGETHER !!!! Happy Anniversary Paul Croley , I ♥ You !!

No big plans tonight just staying home. I have baking for school to do. Thaniqua went to the church potluck supper. Being home together is the best anyway. Last night Paul & I took Jennifer & Thaniqua to sing in the school choir for the school board. It was fun just us sitting together w/out Carly was really different.

On another note ~

Well the verdict is in ~ The four boys had to tell Jennifer they were sorry for what they did. Then write letters telling Jennifer & Paul & I that they are sorry.

Starting yesterday they only have lunch recess for the rest of the week which Friday is the last day of school for the year.

No Christmas party Friday , plus they have to work of Jennifer's new backpack.

There parents were also called to school.

The principal is also going to make this a example when school goes back in session at the start of a new year. She was very very upset.

Jennifer is happy with the new backpack. It is plain purple but she doesn't want anything pretty for school anymore that is the sad part. Thanks again for all the kind thoughts. It is very sad that children so young are so mean.

Just a update on the Bullying & A Backpack ~

Off to school to have lunch w/ my daughter Jennifer. Just as a update I did speak to the principal , Jennifer was given a new backpack as for the students that did this they are still working on it. I know this better not happen again & those boys need to say they are sorry. Thanks for all the love yesterday ♥

I'm so upset w/ all the bullying that goes on in this world from grade school children. This is my seven year old Jennifer's backpack. Last week she told me children were making fun of her carrying a backpack w " Tangled " on it. It is sad this world we live in. Look at her backpack today.

Four boys did this today. All the same age as Jennifer 7 years old or maybe 8 years old , still no reason for this.

Making a trip to the office in the morning to try to get some answers. I'm so not happy that some children have to be so mean.

Praying for this issue so much tonight & tomorrow. Hoping things all go in Jennifer's favor.

Busy Week

Wow , I can't believe it this is our last week of school this quarter.

Friday is it the last day of school for 2011. It has went fast so fast. We have a 3 week break again as the other students on the regular school calender have only 2 wks. I'm excited though looking forward to everyone being home.

I have a ton of things going on this week & still a couple things from last week that I haven't had the time to write about. So going to do my best to keep up with the happenings.

I'm off to bed to get some rest !!

Sweet Words This Morning

My husband is great , I love him so much.

Sometimes it seems like he always knows what to say and when .........

This morning we had just woke up and he told me I could get a shower first & he would get the girls up. So sweet on the weekends he always pitches in so well. I'm always busy during the week w/ kids , house & school plus ....... Carly. Well the past week we had to deal with the flu. He was working lots of hrs so I was dealing with most of it. He still came home to sit w/ whoever was sick and help me in the middle of the night , never complain.

But just before he left our room he said & he has said something like this before. Gosh we should almost have a one year old soon. I was sorta caught off guard & was like yeah we should. Our last loss was Jan 6 , 2011. He said you know I miss all those children. I said I do too. We sure would be busy but you know I wish it would have all worked out , Paul said. It really made my heart smile to know he thinks about them too. Sometimes I wonder but I don't always bring up my feelings out loud but it is nice to hear him. It's all this part of life we share missing children. I'm just so thankful we were blessed & will have a chance to all be together some day FOREVER.

Red Nose Reindeer Run

This morning we got up and had a yummy Breakfast , then off to the Red Nose Reindeer Run at the Carson High School across the road from us.

Yesterday when the kids came home from school they had a paper about it. I told them that I would go with them it started at 9:30am for registration & 10:00 am was the run. We walked over to the school. Only the older three went with me. Too cold for Carly so Dad kept her.

The kids all got a free water bottle , a prize from the prize box which they got markers , pad of paper & a watch.

They were also giving away $5.00 gifts cards from Play it again Sports which the kids all got one. A free kids meal at Chili's when you buy a adult meal. Yay a reason to go out to eat soon :) All the kids got one.

They also were giving away other prizes but we were not sure what for. I thought we already had enough myself.

I took a few pics of the kids. It was really a beautiful morning & nice to get out of the house and do something I love too. I used to run track when I was in high school. Well we could walk , run , jog , skip or whatever it around the track. It was all about being together & having fun. A lady talked to me and she said you & your children walk to school everyday. I told her we walk home almost everyday as long as the weather is good. It's exactly one mile & the kids enjoy it. That's all that was said.

Then it was time for the prizes. We won for the family that walks the most & doing something healthy for our body. We got a $25 dollar I Tunes card !!!!! Yay !!!!!

I was thrilled & so were the kids.

The lady gave us all a balloon & one for Carly. It was great and we made a Awesome memory today. It was only a couple hrs but so much fun.

Also the Lily's on my flowers finally opened and they are so beautiful. They also made me think of a blog friend of mine her little girl who lives in Heaven. <3

Some Feelings , Period.

Regardless of how many she has, a miscarriage is a tragedy. Period.

Yesterday I was really busy so I didn't hear the news about The Duggars until late last night. I logged into Facebook to see so many good comments but then again I seen some bad ones.

This morning I read even more , I know everyone has there right to a opinion.

So here is mine , I feel for the family. I know how are family felt with our losses. It's hard no words just raw. This morning I prayed for the family. I also prayed for those that said hurtful comments. I know 19 children are a lot but you know if they can handle that many then I feel that is there right. I don't think I would have that many but I feel that God is in control as he always is. It isn't right to question or judge one another.

I always wanted two children a girl and a boy. I wasn't sure I could have any but it was always my plans. Then I had a boy & a girl. I was so happy. Then I met Paul , he has 3 children 2 boys and a girl. Then the day came when I was pregnant a little girl , Jennifer. He was happy he always wanted more children then just 3. So now I'm a Mom to 3 plus my step children. Then I got pregnant again only I lost to miscarriage , then I lost again to miscarriage. 2 losses in a row I didn't think I could do that again. Then I was pregnant again. We also weren't trying to but we also wasn't trying to stop it. This time I had my rainbow Carly. Then once again I was pregnant but lost again.

So today I'm a Mom to 10 children yes three of them I didn't carry but I love just as my own. Yes three of them live in Heaven. I have four children on earth but does that make me sound bad when I can say I have 10 children ???

Today I have what God has blessed me with and I thank him for every one of them.

Feeling Better , Flowers & Easy Wednesday

A combo post been a busy past week.

Feeling better , maybe the tummy bug is gone. I hope this past week has been a tough one at our house.

I clean all the time but been doing so much extra the past week & laundry. I told Paul one thing we should all be healthy for Christmas. Paul had to work the weekend but somehow I managed with sick kids. We are not totally better yet , Jennifer has a little cold & cough but taking some medicine.

Yesterday the neighbor lady Miss Iona gave me a ride to pick Ridge up at school. I had a box to take in for another child in Thaniqua's class for the play. I put the box in the car & she said there is a little something for you on the front seat.

I said what are these for. She said you silly for being such a good Mom. I laughed she said I know you have been so busy this past week with the kids but you still manage to keep on going. It was so nice of her. So since I didn't post a picture of yesterday for Project 365 ~ This is Day 340.

So today Carly was playing with a box and I snapped this pic for today. So here is today's picture Day 341.

The reason why Jennifer is here is cause the kids didn't have school today. It was a district wide teacher's meeting. So we have had a extra day to rest up.

Also today is my sister's wedding anniversary ~ Happy 15 yrs together Jeff & Colleen. Time has went so fast hard to believe it has been that long. I remember there wedding day all decked out with Christmas trees & the weather outside was like 75 degrees for a Dec wedding that was so strange but nice. Especially in Ohio where one never knows what the weather will do.

I want to take the time to remember Pearl Harbor Day also. My Dad served in World War II. He was stationed in Japan. I can remember when I was a little girl looking at all his pics.

Tomorrow is a super busy day lots of stuff going on at school just so glad everyone is feeling better & praying real hard it stays that way.

Tuesday Thoughts

I found this on Pinterest and this past week it has been so true. I guess it is the holidays , missing people. Everyday life can be hard at times.

But ............

No matter what I seem to rise above it. I might cry or sometimes fuss just ask my husband but we usually come out on top.

I'm just thankful for a loving God who is always there looking out for all of us. God is always so good.

I might add I'm so excited a couple dear BLM friends of mine that gave birth to there Rainbow babies one on Saturday & one today. Beautiful little boys soooooo very excited for them. Congrats !!!

Just Some Feelings

I read this over the weekend and it really bothers me. I'm not sure how a lot of people feel but I really think they have went to far on this one.

I mean I have a son who is 11 yrs old almost 12 & He has had some really pretty teachers. My girls this year have a few teachers that are males & are handsome. I guess the reason it bothers me is the freedom to say what you feel. I know we have a teacher that is a great friend of ours & she is very pretty. Ridge has even made the remark to us but I know he was just stating his opinion & nothing more.

Ridge's teacher this year told all the children that she does not allow students hugging her. I can see why because they need to be careful w/all the things can be made into something that was nothing to start off with.

I don't have a problem with any of my children making a comment because I know that would be as far as it goes. I really feel for this child that this happened to. I know I would be so upset if this happened to my child.

Our sweet neighbor lady Miss Iona had the girls come over & make some snowman treats today.

It's cute & easy.

A cookie with some icing ,2 big marshmallows , candy for eyes & such. Chinese egg noodles for the arms , red licorice for a scarf. 2 peanut butter cups w/icing to hold them together for a hat. You just use icing to hold everything together.

Pretty cute & they made them for our snack time tonight. I just love her she is such a blessing & she loves us all so much.

Fun Homework

Thaniqua is a school play on December 15th. Actually she is in 2 different ones. The one play she and a few other children are presents.

So for her homework the other night we had to get a box she could fix into. Paul works in shipping and receiving so he found a box that would work. He brought it home and I got some wrapping paper & we all worked on it together. Well the girls , Dad & I . Ridge had some homework to work on of his own so we only used Ridge to ask his opinion.

It was really fun working all together. Carly got a big bang out of it. I mean children love boxes anyway.

So I took a few pics. They didn't turn out the best but it was fun.

The girls all took a turn modeling the present.

Thaniqua took it to school Friday & her teacher was thrilled with the job we did. I guess there are a couple kids that are having trouble getting boxes so Paul is going to get a couple more and we are going to make them up for them. It was really fun we spent most of the evening laughing and being silly together. Wonderful memories all over some homework.

Today is December 1st ~ Happy December ...............

Today should be a birthday party & all the works.

But instead , Mommy will make some brownies for snack tonight & we'll all sing Happy Birthday to you.

Dear Little Muffin

I never got to meet you but I loved you with a love that will never end. I can't wait til the day I get to meet you in Heaven. I'm so glad we have that chance to spend everyday together there. I wonder everyday what your like & your siblings here talk to you all the time. We put your things on the Christmas tree the other night.

Little Muffin I miss you & have fun up there with all your angel friends. Ridge always says I bet parties are Awesome up there. Daddy , Ridge , Thaniqua , Jennifer & Carly & of course Mommy sends our love.

Day 30 ~ Today I'm thankful for everything I might have left out. I'm thankful for so much. Today I'm breaking the rules & adding a extra one. Today is my parent's wedding anniversary if my Father was still alive they would have been married for 48 yrs. I'm thankful for there happy marriage. Getting to have them together all the time while I was growing up. Seeing them handle the good and bad times but still stay together.

Happy Anniversary to my parents.

I know if my Dad was still alive they would be together today.

The Hourglass can mean lots of things. I remember the little one my Grandma had in her kitchen to time things. I remember watching the sand run through and then whenever it was it was done.

Now that I am older I look at the hourglass and think of life how we are just like a dot at the end of a pencil when our life began.

How each piece of sand is a part of our life , some fall quickly , others take there time. But in the end this life is over on earth.

Some days I want the sand to never end just keep flowing but then I don't control my life God does. I just wait and wait to see what a new day brings. Knowing that there will be a day in Heaven where no more pain , no more tears , no more sadness just life forever. We will have time forever & ever.

The hourglass will be no more.

Little Miss Carly told me she was tired and fell asleep in front of the TV this morning. The only part of her that was showing was her toes. Too cute & this is the way she has been falling asleep lately. Paul told me his Dad used to sleep the same way. Don't worry I do check on her a ton to make sure she is breathing.

Thaniqua and Jennifer got to go see the Nutcracker yesterday afternoon. The sweet neighbor lady bought the girls tickets and they went after church. They really enjoyed it and had so much fun. It was just across the park from where we live. :)

Our Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was awesome we had a great time. Good food & time to relax.

Our Menu was Turkey & Ham , Mashed Potatoes , Stuffing , Homemade Rolls , Cornbread , Sweet Potatoes , Corn , Jello , Potato Salad & of course Cranberry Sauce.

Also I made Pumpkin pie , Dutch Apple & our wonderful Spanish neighbors gave us a pecan pie.

Just before we ate the kids wanted to go around the table and say what they were thankful for. Well it was Ridge's turn & he really made my day. I never know what he is gonna come up with. Here's what he was thankful for ~

I'm thankful for having siblings in Heaven. He said I wanted a little brother but I know I have at least two waiting in Heaven not everyone is that lucky to get to meet a new brother or sister when I get there. He also said I can't wait to see if they like me so we can play together. I was in tears what a kid he is ..................

Saturday morning Paul had to go to work until noon but overall it was a great weekend.

Hoping your Thanksgiving was terrific too.

Day 28 ~ I'm thankful for good sleeping children & staying in there beds. Even as babies my children slept well. Once in a while we had some issues but overall , Awesome !!! It helps when parents have to work or even as myself a stay at home Mom we all need good rest.

Thaniqua and Jennifer made this house out of foam stickers that our sweet neighbor lady had. It was a kit something like a gingerbread house kit.

Turned out really great. She is really crafty and invited the girls over to spend some time and have fun. They even made homemade Christmas cards for all of us. :)

Day 26 - I'm thankful for my only son " Ridge " on earth. At only 11 yrs old he has a great head on his shoulders , wants to write a book someday. Also he has a great outlook on how to treat a girl. I hear all the time how many new girls he likes , Lol, He knows there can only be one. Also my first born & we share a lot of wonderful adventures together.

Busy Day & Thanks

It's been a busy day , the day before Thanksgiving usually is. I got up at 5:30 am & really haven't stopped. I love it though I really do. Cooking and baking are just something I always liked to do. I remember one time going out to eat for Thanksgiving and it just didn't feel the same.

Anyway I have pies done , some cookies baked & potato salad almost done. I'm making Homemade dinner rolls tomorrow along with all the other goodies but some things you just can't do ahead of time.

We are just stayin home & spending some great family time Together. Paul's sister's that live here really don't talk to us but that's ok I know we will have fun. I'm pretty sure Paul has to work this coming Saturday so it will be nice to have a couple days together.

So tonight I will just relax and have some things the girls can help with when school is out.

I know that I have been writing what I am thankful for since the month started but I'm especially thankful for everyone that stops by my blog. I enjoy your comments but more than anything your friendship.

So I have to leave to get the kids soon plus a few other things so I wanta say ,

Thank you for being you ~ Happy Thanksgiving , stay safe & enjoy all that wonderful food.

If you read my post yesterday , I was so thrilled I was going grocery shopping alone. No kids , No hubby just some me time. Well Jennifer begged and said I promise I will help & be good. So yes what happened she got to go. We had a lot of fun & when we were back by the milk & such in Walmart , Jennifer said " Mom please take my picture." It was so cute and of course I had to put in on Facebook. I think Jennifer thinks she is a star , Lol
It was just a cardboard Doughboy but too cute.

I didn't get my alone time but we sure had fun.

Day 20 ~ I'm thankful for being able to TALK , sounds silly but I'm glad that I can talk about anything with my children. Nowadays it seems like children know so much more than I did at there age.

Red , White & Blue ~ School Program

This past Thursday Nov 17th Thaniqua and the rest of 4th graders had a concert.
It was Red , White and Blue ~ America the Beautiful. It was all songs they had been singing for Veterans Day. It was really really beautiful. The children all wore Red , White or Blue shirts. If they had a shirt with the American Flag they could wear it.
I took a few pictures of Thaniqua before it started and then a few after. So many people trying to take pictures it was tough. It was a beautiful program and I'm so proud of her.

Going grocery shopping alone so excited.

This doesn't happen to often that I get to do something without someone with me. I love my kids and my hubby but sometimes you just need some space. I'm a SAHM & I love that too but once and a while a trip even to the store is Awesome. I love to save especially at the store & even if the kids are along I pretty much stick to my list. So being it is the weekend before Thanksgiving I told my hubby no one is going. One pretty happy Mom today !

Day 19 - I'm thankful that my children know what the word respect means. So glad that they can behave anywhere they are w/out me such as school. I know at times they can give me issues but overall they are good , kind children. In the world nowadays that is hard to find.

Day 18 - I'm thankful for firefighters & EMT's those who hold that job paid full time or volunteer. You are such amazing and brave people. I know after giving birth to a baby at home myself I am more than thankful & especially extra today when the winds are blowing bad & there is the HUGE fire in Reno. Thank you for all these men & women do. I'm also proud to have a brother who has been a volunteer firefighter for 25 yrs.

This picture below was taken by the news channel in Reno , Nevada. I'm using it today for my Project 365 - Day 322

Today there is a Huge Fire in Reno. At this moment 20 homes have been lost & 10,000 people have been forced to leave there homes.
Winds have been blowing at 60+. It is the worst wind I can remember since moving to Nevada. It all started when a power line fell at a little past midnight.
Please keep these people in your prayers. Thank you so much.

Ridge at his band practice today. He is the boy wearing the orange shirt. I got to watch him practice today before we had lunch together at school. Wonderful moments & so glad Ridge wanted his Mom to stop by and watch. So nice to be loved & so wanted especially when some days it seems like Ridge is growing up too fast.
My oldest & My only son on earth. Mom loves you & we made a wonderful memory today. :)

Day 17 - I'm thankful for our school's lunch bunch buddy program. I'm glad they have it once a month , a week set aside to come and eat lunch with your child on there day for there grade. It's nice to be able to give your child that one on one time at school.

Some Thoughts

The past few days have been sad here in Nevada. If you read my post about the news reporter that was died from a Hit & Run accident on Sunday afternoon. I have spent time watching his children that are left speak out about there Dad. It breaks my heart. The children are all the same ages of my children only 11 , 10 & 7 years old. Its sad to be gone in just a moment. I have been on both sides of the fence knowing & being taken quickly it is never easy. It makes me stop and think of just how precious this life really is. I mean I know it is but it is such a reminder. As I was watching these children speak I noticed that the one thing they wanted was to have lots of friends & love sports just like him. They said we want to laugh again. I know that in time it will happen for them but it will never go away.

I also found out that there Mother is battling cancer. Please keep this family in your prayers.

So I remembered something someone told me when I lost someone dear. It was this saying........

It's hard to forget someone but the hardest word is saying goodbye....LOVE has its own time, its own season and its own reasons for coming and going. Be glad that it came to live for a moment in your life.

I know I was sorta all over the place but I care even though I don't know them. I was so thankful when the youngest child said I prayed and told God you got a great Dad up there , take good care of him. The young boy said I will be praying extra from now on.
