10 Months and 10 Ten Years Old

Today we are celebrating two things today !!

First Carly is 10 months old. Really her day isn't until the 29th but since February only has 28 days this year we decided to call it today. She is getting so big and just doing so much lately.

I Love to Eat !!!

I Love to try to get into things I shouldn't , like Mommy's Filing Cabinet.

I Love to just be sooooooooo silly !!!!

For the second thing Big Brother Ridge is 10 years old Today !!!!

His entrance to this world was so exciting and He loves to hear about every birthday. If some of you don't know when I had Ridge I went to the E.R for a very bad backache and in a hr and a half I delivered a wonderful blessing a Baby Boy. Ridge Logan Williard , weighed 8 lbs and a half oz. 20 inches long and as healthy as could be.

Some people still say How could you not know ??? But I believe he was a true gift from God. I was told I would never be able to carry a child or at the most never get pregnant.

So today I think back to 10 yrs ago and how much my life has changed in those matter of a couple hrs ???? It has been the greatest blessing , as have all of my children.

So Happy Birthday " Ridge " We love you very much and so hard to believe that 10 yrs have went by so quickly."

Yesterday morning I was making breakfast and Ridge came into the kitchen and said ....

Hey Mom , I thought I would just let you know that tomorrow when I turn 10 I won't be a kid anymore.

I said What are you talking about ????? Kids nowadays they say almost anything , LOL. It was sorta funny and gave Paul and I a great laugh for the day.

I told him you will always be my kid no matter how old you are ....

We are just having a family party cause alot of his friends are sick so later we will have a party.

He wants Taco Bell for supper and I made a cake and of course we will do a few gifts !!

All in all I think we will have a great day with our 10 year old Ridge and our 10 month old Carly.

Have a great Sunday !!!!!

God Bless

A Little Sad - Turned Out Happy Day

Seems like this is all I wanted to do today ...........

Not sure Why ???????

Just dealing with some feelings

or a case of Grief .........

I could cry at the drop of a hat today but I did feel better. It was just Carly and I this afternoon. I decided to try to change our living room around a little. I don't like things the same way all the time.

I was just thinking about how there should be two more children at our home. I miss those kids I never got to meet. I wonder what they would have looked like or who they might be taking after. I have been watching Carly do so much the last couple weeks and think of how this is the first time I have watched a child grow and do things since I lost my babies. I look at things so different and maybe what I thought was important isn't anymore. I feel better I sat and prayed this afternoon and Carly was watching Dora not really knowing that Mommy was feeling blue.

I pulled things together and the rest of the gang came home from school.

Fixed supper and then it was off to Ridge's Science Fair tonight. Ridge got second place in his class. We were so proud of him and I cried again but this time they were Happy Ones and I can deal with those.

God Bless

Our Sunday Afternoon and Supper

Today I spent the afternoon with Ridge finishing up his Science Fair Project.

It is " How to make an egg float ? " It really was a easy one but at the end just getting it all put together and ready to go. Projects are due tomorrow and the Science Fair is Wednesday night.

So best of luck Ridge !!!!!

Also while I was working with Ridge , Dad was helping Jennifer do a small book report for Kindergarten. She had a short book called The Mitten. She had to try and read it , which Dad said she did well. She only missed two words. They had to write the title and author. One short sentence about the book. Also draw a picture about what she read. I know that this is the last half of Kindergarten but it seems like they really do so much more nowadays. Jennifer is pretty bright and has learned so much from Dora and others I just hope some children don't get pushed for they are only 5 and 6. Anyway she did a good job.

So since I was busy I decided to try a new recipe today !!!!

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

1 pound ground chuck
10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 (8-ounce) package sharp Cheddar, grated
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup bread crumbs, toasted
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared mustar...d
1 (3-ounce) can French fried onions Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the ground chuck and next 8 ingredients, mixing well.
In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard. Stir 1/4 cup ketchup mixture into meat mixture, reserving remaining ketchup mixture.
Press meat mixture into a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan, or shape into a loaf and place on a rack in a broiler pan. Spread remaining ketchup mixture over loaf. Bake 40 minutes. Top with French fried onions; bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink.

It turned out really good and I thought I would share it to.

Wishing everyone a great and blessed Sunday.

Six Word Saturday

Here is how it works using six words , describe your life ( or something ) in a phrase.

Children are just Angels on loan.

Angels on loan from GOD
Suffer the little children to come unto Me ... for of such is the kingdom of God. -- Mark 10:14

Be grateful every single day of the year for the gift of life -- for warm cheeks and baby-soft skin, joyous giggles and piggy toes, butterfly kisses, silly songs, wide eyes all aglow, and the dancing sugarplum dreams of innocents.

A Early Start to a Thursday

Well I got a early start to my day and this is not what I was going to blog about today BUT ............. sometimes plans get changed for us. I'm a Mommy and nothing ever goes exactly how we plan but that's ok I have to work around it. Sometimes it's for the better. I usually go to bed at midnight which I did then at 2am my hubby was up coughing and then .........

My son Ridge was up sick with the flu. So at 3 am I was doing laundry and I couldn't have slept anyway. I never feel right when they don't feel good. Well Paul went to work and the girls went to school and the best thing of all.........

Ridge is doing much better. I still think that I may keep him home tomorrow yet because he didn't start feeling better til this afternoon. There is so much stuff going around at school right now. Marie was pretty sick this past Sunday and I was glad Monday was a day off from school. So Mom will be watching Jennifer and Carly pretty close. Carly is getting some more teeth so she already is a little fussy.

Anyway I'm just glad he is better and even though sometimes all the noise and daily scrapping gets to me , I would much rather have them like this picture below.

My Silly Gang !!!!!!!

Little Bits from Holiday Weekend

Well it was pretty normal other than I got to go do some shopping for the kids. We went to Burlington Coat Factory on Saturday afternoon. I haven't been to one in a long time. They had a lot of great buys and I think I'm the biggest penny pincher. Well Carly was the real reason we went. She has out grew everything and Friday I hit some of the thrift stores. I couldn't find alot. I really like buying new clothes but most of the time kids don't wear it out and I dislike paying what I would for a pair of jeans. Prices are crazy. Anyway I got Carly like 6 outfits. Wow and brand name stuff , not that it really mattered. I got Marie 2 shirts and Ridge 2 shirts and a pair of shoes for Carly. I spent $ 90 dollars. I was happy and so was Dad. He wanted me to look for something for me but I couldn't find anything I liked. Sorry , I'm not picky just nothing I wanted.

Sunday it seemed like everyone but Carly , Ridge and I had a touch of the flu bug. It was nice out so Ridge got to play outside without a coat on. Later that night Marie was really sick and the girls all share a bedroom so Carly got woke up and didn't wanta sleep in her bed so Mommy and Carly slept in the Living Room. She slept all night but her teeth are bothering her again so she is a little fussy.

Monday was Presidents Day and Paul was off of work. He ran a couple errands in the morning and Marie was starting to feel better. In the afternoon we ran to the other Walmart to see if they had any good kids clothes on sale. We have two Walmarts in this town. WOW , did they have some great sales. I got Ridge 5 pairs of shorts , Jennifer a dress and a shirt. Marie 2 skirts ( jean ones ) 2 shirts and I found a shirt I liked. Carly got to skirts and a pair of P J 's , Guess how much we spent ??????? $ 95 dollars. We did good again so everyone is set now for a while, I hope.

Everyone was in good shape today and back to school and work but it still feels like a Monday ........ Hope your weekend was good and your Tuesday is great !!!

Six Word Saturday

Here is how it works using six words , describe your life ( or something ) in a phrase.

Somewhere beneath all snow is Spring.

This picture isn't at my home in Nevada. It is taken in Ohio at my Mom's. This past week they have had 25 plus inches of snow. I can remember when I was a child having winter's like that. It sure has been awhile since I have seen that much snow in one week. My family back there is doing well besides the snow. I love the beauty of it , my Mom said but in one of our talks on the phone this past week. I said well beneath all this there is Spring !!! It really made her laugh and I know by now she is so ready for it. Growing up my father worked for the County Highway Dept and he used to drive a snow plow. We always had a good idea if school was cancelled , which was so Awesome. So if you have lots of snow just Think Spring !!!!

Have a Happy 6WS and a Awesome upcoming wk.

Friday Fun w / Mom

This post happened earlier this morning , I just have been to busy to get it posted.

Well Carly had an Appt to get her finger poked for WIC. They needed to check her iron level. So this morning we dropped off Ridge and Marie at school. Then Dad dropped Carly , Jennifer and I at the Dr's Office. He went on to work and all of us were going to catch the bus back home later.

Jennifer was so excited because after the appt we were going to Walmart and McDonald's. We got a few things we needed and then got some cinnamon rolls. Jennifer isn't a big breakfast person. So we all had a good time and Carly just loved the cinnamon rolls. Jennifer said it was a great time and it's really ok sharing time w/Mom. Just a little inside note Jennifer and I used to take the bus places during the day before I had Carly and Jennifer used to call that our special time together. I told her I'm so glad you don't mind sharing me.

Remembering God is Near " Part Two "

Here it is 4 yrs already and it seems like just yesterday. 4 yrs since my first miscarriage and I will never forget it.

My day started out as any other day. Getting up and getting ready for work. I felt a little sick but Wow I'm pregnant and sometimes I feel that way in the morning. I clocked in at work and got my list for the day. Joked with the guys and then as I started my daily tasks , I felt like something was wrong and so different. I went and told my boss I was going home or too the E.R. I sat in my car a minute and then drove to the hospital. I didn't wanta call anyone since I wasn't sure what was up. I told them at the E.R. I thought I was having a miscarriage. The tears ran down my face ....... fear and all those feelings you never wanta feel. They got me a room and a nurse checked on me but didn't say much. She was the not so nice one. They called my Dr and I waited which seemed like forever. Finally they took me for a ultrasound and the tech kept the screen turned so I couldn't see. I knew already .......... my baby was gone .... finally she said she felt I was like 15 wks instead of 12. She could tell it was a Boy. I needed a D & C so they set it up for noon. I called my boss at work and told him. He was so cool and even though we joked so much about anything , his voice was so different. They took me back to a room and then in a couple hrs I had surgery. Paul was there when I woke up and I didn't know what to say other than I'm sorry. Finally I was released and got to go home. I remember all the Valentine balloons in the gift shop as they wheeled me out and I felt so empty. I never had this happen and I didn't know what to say or should I just cry.

One thing I do know is God was there with me the whole time. I could feel him when I waited for the tech to complete the ultrasound and just before I was put to sleep. He was there when I woke up and Yes he was there the whole time. I remember a little girl that was in the hallway on my way out and she said I hope you get better. I said Thank-you, I never will forget that little girl. She made me feel so good inside.

Today as I sit here and type this I wonder Why ???? some things happen ???? I know that God has made me a stronger person through all of this. I lost a little boy that was wanted so much but at the same time in yesterday's post God saved my son from being hurt bad. God really is great and there is one thing I know for sure is that One Day I will see my little boy again and that God loves everyone of us. He is always there and he will never leave us. That's the greatest thing of all.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Deuteronomy 31:6

So too my little boy in heaven today. I love you so much and I just wish I could have seen you but I know when we all get to heaven , Mommy will always be there. I hope your having fun up there w/your brother or sister that is there to. There's not a day that I don't think of you , so just know we all love you so much. I miss you little man. Lots of Kisses and {{HUGS}}. Happy 4 yrs in Heaven !!!!!
Love , Mommy

Remembering God is Near "Part One "

First of all I want to start this post out by saying that there are some things in life that we can't always control like our court system. Also this is a little long so bear with me.

This goes back to 4 yrs ago today. My older two children had visitation at there fathers's home. There Father is what I would call a junkie but some how he still got visitation. The courts sometimes don't always see the whole picture and to this day I don't see how I could have got mixed up with someone like that. He was able to hide a lot from me , so once I realized things it was too late.

Anyway he had the children for the day. I was at work and I had told him I would stop by after work to check on the children. Ridge was 5 and Marie was 3. So I stopped by and knocked on the door and finally he answered. First thing out of his mouth was Ridge got hurt this morning. I of course asked is he ok ? Why didn't you call me ? I wanted to see Ridge but he said he was sleeping. I heard Ridge so I knew that wasn't true. I knew something was up because he didn't want me to see him. Finally after 5 minutes he let me see him. Here Ridge had been stabbed by his own Father. I was going NUTS and his arm wasn't taken care of right. I asked him when did this happen ? He said about 2am. Why ??????? Because Ridge wanted something to drink. I took both of the kids and took Ridge to the hospital. I was so scared and nervous and also pregnant trying to stay calm. I called Paul and told him what had happened. We weren't married at the time but were going through a tough time ourselves. He was working so I called my Best Friend and she came to the hospital to help with Marie and she also was watching Jennifer. Things turned out ok. Ridge got to come home and my worst fear had happened his Dad had hurt him. I cried so hard but was so thankful that God watched over my son Ridge. I'm so glad things weren't any worse.

As I write this today I'm so thankful that my son is finally able to use a pair of scissors and will use a butter knife. Ridge tells me it was a pair of scissors he used but Ridge says it was dark and hard to tell. He wouldn't pick up anything like that until this year. It has been a long road but Ridge is doing so good today. I'm so thankful that even as a mother we can't be everywhere with our children but God is always there to watch over all of us. So I am going to close with this verse.

“God's Watching Over Me”

I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip — he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

[Psalm 121: 1-4 NIV]

Monday Already and Bits of Our Weekend

Wow , it's Monday already and it seems like where did the weekend go !!!

We were busy all weekend doing something .... it seemed like. Saturday morning we went to Best Buy to pick up our new computer. We waited til almost 11 am and they still didn't have it ready. My hubby wasn't to happy since we had bought it Thursday and decided not to pick it up until Saturday morning. They even emailed us Friday evening saying it was done....... So while we waited I took the girls and walked around. They love Rockband which we don't have so the girls decided to give it a try. They were so funny and cute !!

Girls just jammin away !!!

Later after we got the computer and fixed lunch at home. I did some laundry and helped kids get there Valentines ready for school. I don't like waiting til the last minute. Dad decided to take us out for supper , so we decided on Applebees. Ridge and Marie love steak just like there Mom , LOL. After supper we went to Borders Book Store to look for a NASCAR press guide that Paul wanted but they didn't have one. I found a couple books I wanted , " 90 minutes in Heaven " and " When GOD Turned Off the Lights ". I can't wait to start reading them when I can find some time. Then we came home and relaxed.

Super Bowl Sunday but we didn't do much. I usually always make Taco's but this year I really wasn't into the whole thing and I just fixed Pork Chops. Talked to my sister and family in Ohio. Wow they have 15 inches of snow and expect more Tuesday or Wednesday. Everyone is safe and ok , so that is good. I'm just glad to have my computer back. I don't mind sharing but I miss doing things like being able to blog when I have a chance , LOL.

Oh yes and I just have to add this, we got Carly a new High Chair. I took a picture of her while I was messing around and it turned out great !!!!

Well that's our weekend and I have a busy week once again. I also have Ridge home today wasn't feeling the best so just to be safe I kept him home. Going to finish working on his Science Fair Project !! I told him we could rap it up today. So I guess that's what I'm off to do. Have a great Monday !!!

Six Word Saturday

Here is how it works using six words , describe your life ( or something ) in a phrase.

Life's Precious , There are No Rewinds.

I'm remembering a painful part of my life 4 yrs ago , this upcoming week. Sometimes we always think there is tomorrow to tell someone or do something for someone. Enjoy life for no one but God knows what tomorrow holds for any of us.

Have a Happy 6WS and a Awesome upcoming wk.

Remembering Everyone

Photobucket

Since last Monday evening Jan 26th I keep thinking of my friend on Facebook - Jessica. I have never met her in person like a lot of my friends on here. Yesterday I sent her a note and wanted her address so I could mail her a little gift to maybe make her have a litle smile and remember her daughter Ireland. I don't know the details of what happened but my heart still breaks for her and like so many of my friends I have met on here.

Everyone of the BabyLost Mom's I have met on here have touched my heart in such a special way. I just wanta say to all of you I love ya all and I will always pray for you and your families. Sometimes we get caught up in our daily routine and we don't always take the time to tell someone how much they mean. I'm so blessed to have friends like you I can share the good and the bad. Thanx for all of your sweet comments & prayers. Even if you haven't lost a child , I still pray for you so much.

So this was my status for today.

Hug them, kiss them and tell them that you love them. Don't miss the chances that life is giving you to spend with people you love. There are no rewinds.

So I was online reading some poems and I came across this one. It really touched my heart so much. Soon will be 4 yrs since I lost my little boy and it's always there but starting to hurt a little more. So I thought I would share it on my blog.

I'm just a little baby
who didn't quite make it there;
I went straight to be with Jesus
but I'm waiting for you here.

Don't you fret about me mommy
I'm of all God's most blessed
I'd have loved to stay there with you
but Heavenly Father knows what's best.

Many who dwell here where I live
waited years to enter in,
they struggled through a world of sorrow
and their lives were marred with sin.

So sweet mommy don't be sad,
wipe those tears and chase the gloom,
I went straight to be with Jesus,
from my lovely mothers womb.

Thank you for the life you gave me,
it was brief but don't complain;
I have all of heaven's glory
suffering none of the world's pain.

Thank you for the name you gave me,
I'm thankful for all you've done.
I'll be waiting here for you
in heaven up above.

I would have loved to stay with you,
And lived life by your side,
But the Lord has called me home,
I know it's hard to understand why.

Thank you mommy for making me,
You made me out of love,
I can't wait for the day I see you again
So you can see what I've become.

I'm an angel here in heaven,
The Lord's here by my side,
He wants me to let you know
He's sorry he made you cry.

He has a plan for me up here,
And a plan for you here too,
Someday we'll be together again,
And this I know is true.

Something Kinda Neat

My husband Paul collects all kinds of Coke stuff. He has lots of totes full of things. He even at one time used to work for them. Yesterday when Nancy brought the kids home from school , Ridge was all excited. Here she had a aluminum pop bottle. It was really neat I had never seen any before. She got it in California. So she is going back there on Monday and Tuesday so she is going to see if she can find another one. Paul would be so excited. I just thought it was kinda interesting too and thought I would share it. From what I read online last night they have been out since Feb 2008.

Have a great day

Ground Hog Day Brings A Start

Just wanted to say Happy Ground Hog Day !!!!!!

But there is another reason the kiddos that live here want Spring to come and that is because of the following coming up .........

It starts off all the birthdays here, Ridge starts it all off on Feb 28. Marie is next March 27 , Jennifer April 2 , Dad ( Paul } April 3 , and then of course Carly April 29. I'm the oddball I guess I have to wait til Sept 6. That's ok I like having Spring birthdays. I remember the year I had Jennifer I told my hubby he would always have Jennifer for a birthday present , LOL

My stepkids birthdays are Jared May 29 , Jessica June 28 and Justin July 2. So yes birthday season is upon us.

As for when spring will start just have to wait and see , I really look forward to this time of year. I like to walk and get out and let the kids play out , so I'm hoping it is soon.

Here is a short verse & the little bird makes me think of spring.

Have a great day !!

Be Still Today

I wanted to share this verse for today , it really applies to me today. I love this verse but sometimes it is so difficult to be still.

God calls us to move, but he also calls us to stay. There are times when His spirit will move you to make changes and take action; but there are other times when He wants you to just stay where you are, and have faith in Him.

A lot of times, the "Be still and know..." part is the hardest thing a Christian can do.

Be still....and know...I am ...God
Be still...and know....I am
Be still and know....
Be still.... Only when you become still can you hear the still small voice of God...

Hoping you have a great Monday.

God Bless
Caroline
